Summary: Strega Nona is the "Grandma Witch" with the potions and cures for all the townspeople's needs. She also has a magic pasta pot to cook her dinner. Her assistant, Big Anthony, uses the pasta pot when she is away, and fills the town with pasta. Interesting that the subtitle use to say "An Old Tale" and now says "An Original Tale." Strega Nona is an original creation of Tomie dePoala, so the "Old" was inaccurate.
