In a very folksy manner, tells the story of the life of Abraham Lincoln, focusing especially on his early childhood growing up in very primitive conditions in Kentucky, Indiana and Illinois. Tells of his political beginnings, early presidency, and entry into Civil War. Ends with the Emancipation Proclamation and the end of the Civil War, but does not mention his assassination.
