Title: Noah's Ark
Illustrator: Peter Spier
Publisher: Doubleday Books for Young Readers
Year: 1977
Awards/Accolades: Caldecott Medal
Summary:
Almost wordless, this book illustrates the details of Noah's quest to build, populate, and sail the ark.
Use in Classroom/Library:
Very detailed illustrations could be projected so that all can look for the details. I especially liked the pictures illustrating parts of the story I hadn't considered: the animals who weren't on board standing by while the rains start; the animal reproduction on board; POOP.
Curriculum Connections:
Can accompany lower grade religion lesson
